Tieer Gu Tieer Gu Dr. Tieer Gu has been named the General Manager for Shanghai Tianma Microelectronics Ltd. in May 2006. In this role, Dr. Gu is responsible for the overall operations of this newly started company. He was most recently the General Manager for GE Global Research in Shanghai since April 2003. He oversaw the research and development activities for GE in China. Prior to that role, Tieer held multiple positions in GE Medical Systems, Perkin Elmer Optoelectronics, and Optical Imaging System. During his tenure at OIS, he was responsible for technology integration of TFT- LCD. Tieer received his B.S. from Fudan University in Shanghai and his Ph.D. from Penn State University. He ' s the owner of 21 US patents and numerous publications.
