Louis JY Lu Louis JY Lu Louis JY Lu received Ph.D. degree from Tatung Institute of Technology in 1993, joined ERSO/ITRI to develop field emission display (FED). In 1999, Dr. Lu worked for Acer Display Technology Inc.(presently AUO), and successfully demonstrated the world's first 50” honeycomb plasma display (PDP) at FPD International 2003, Yokohama, and led a team to develop flat fluorescent lamp (FFL) as a senior manager. In Aug. 2004, he joined Apower Optronics as a fabrication director of cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) plant. Since Sep. 2005, he joined Wellypower Optronics as AVP and director of R&D division. Dr. Lu has published 12 papers and owns more than 30 patents.
