Sheng Sun(孙胜) Sheng Sun,Ph.D. Director, Strategic &Technical Marketing China Country Manager AKT,an Applied Materials company Sheng Sun(孙胜) is currently the Marketing Director at AKT, Inc., an Applied Materials Company, where he is responsible for both Strategic & Technical Marketing departments. At this position, his mission is to research and identify business opportunities for current and future products by providing technology evaluation and market requirement assessment. In addition, he also holds the position of China Country Manager of AKT, responsible for the business development and operations in this emerging region. Joined AKT in 1996 as a Senior Process Engineer, he has participated in the development of several generations of PE-CVD equipment and also served as a key account technologist for major customers in the TFT-LCD field. His interest in photonics also facilitated the development of equipment for OIC (Optical Integrated Circuit) devices. Sheng Sun received the B.S. degree in Chemical Physics from Nanjing University, P.R.China, in 1989, and the Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Akron, Akron, Ohio, in 1994. Currently he is a member of IEEE and SID (Society of Information Display).
